About Bramhope Round Table
Bramhope Round Table is Leeds’ active Round Table. Now in our 44th year, we are a group of 20 friends who meet every two weeks (or so) for fun, friendship and fundraising – in that order!
Recent activities have included such diverse entertainments as gliding, an art evening, archery, rock climbing, and the good old favourite of bowling and curry.
Each year it is the deputy chairman’s responsibility to organise a Lad’s Weekend Away, which has seen us enjoying the cultural sites ranging from an outdoor activity centre in the Lake District, to the artistic capital that is Barcelona, undiscovered Majorca, and surfer’s heaven: Newquay
We also have an active social and family side, with an annual family barbecue and Dads and Kids Camping Weekend as well as occasionally taking over a local restaurant for the evening.
As well as fun, we also look to raise money for good local causes – normally related to children – every year, and with the help of Santa and Rudolph, we visit areas of Bramhope, Adel, Holt Park and other bits of North Leeds giving kids the chance to wave and shout at Santa whilst collecting money for our chosen charity. In 6 evenings, we typically raise over £3000 which we know makes a great difference to the charity.
So if you’re looking for an evening’s entertainment with the opportunity to make great friends and raise a few thousand pounds for a local deserving fantastic cause, why not come along to find out more? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org!
